The process for connecting Instagram accounts to Post Planner is unique because Instagram is owned by Facebook (Meta) and uses the Facebook API to connect to apps like Post Planner.
Facebook has 2 requirements for an Instagram account to be able to connect to an app:
The Instagram account must be a business or creator account
The Instagram account must be linked to a Facebook page
Click the links for detailed instructions on how to get these 2 requirements done for your Instagram accounts. Then follow these instructions:
Make sure your Facebook account is connected
Click the "CONNECT" button on the Instagram row
You should see popup appear and disappear
Then you should see all your (1) Instagram business/creator accounts that are (2) linked to one of your connected Facebook pages (see requirements above)
Click the inactive Instagram accounts to activate them (show a green check)
What if it doesn't work?
The above process does not always work for all users.
If you have confirmed that you have definitely (1) converted your Instagram accounts to business or creator accounts and (2) connected your Instagram accounts to your Facebook pages, then here are some solutions:
Solution #1: Reset your Facebook connection
Going through this process (without skipping any steps) fixes 99% of problems with both Instagram and Facebook connections. That should do the trick. If it doesn't, please use solution 2:
Solution #2: Contact us in Support
We'll do whatever we need to do in order to get you connected! πͺ
