The differences between queued and scheduled posts

You can find all your future posts in the Planned section of Posts.

But there are 2 distinct types of posts in planned:

Queued posts

Queued posts are posts that are queued up and published according to your Posting Plan, which you create and manage in Post Planner.

For queued posts, you don't choose an exact publishing time/date when creating the post. You just compose the post and click "Add to Queue".

The post is then queued up in the next available time slot where it is allowed.

You can see your queued posts (without scheduled posts) here:

IMPORTANT:

Scheduled posts

You use scheduled posts when you want to publish a post at a specific time on a specific day in the future.

For example, if I wanted to publish a post on Cinco de Mayo next year, I can schedule the post to publish exactly at 9am on May 5, 2025.

Scheduled posts operate completely independently from the queue system and your Posting Plan and queued posts.

  • Changes you make to queued posts do not affect scheduled posts
