How to create Facebook TOBI posts

Creating Facebook's famous text-on-background-image (TOBI) posts is easy in Post Planner.

Below you can learn how to:

How to create a single TOBI post

Go to the Post Composer and choose "Create single post" at top of screen.

Select Facebook page(s) in Step 1.

Add your text in Step 2.

In Step 3, click the TOBI button in the FB section:

Then choose a background image:

You will see a post preview to the right:

Then complete the post creation process in Step 4.

How to create multiple TOBI posts at once via spreadsheet

To create multiple TOBI posts at once, first you need to download our "Bulk Upload" spreadsheet.

Once you have the spreadsheet open, add your post texts in the "CAPTION" column.

Then add a background image for each text in the "TOBI BACKGROUND" column.

Use the names below for the background images you want to use:

  • orange-purple

  • shapes

  • white-red

  • purple-blue

  • leaf

  • poop

  • heart

  • heart-eyes

  • fire

  • thought

  • cube

  • fruit-orange

  • eye

  • smiley

  • rose

  • laughing

  • purple-white

  • blue-white

  • layers-purple
